Nkima, Mpindi to faceoff as Ngabi Nsamba dates Omutima Omusagi in the semifinal Bika by’Abaganda 2024

Nkima FC strived to upset defending champion Ngonge FC in the quarter final clash witnessed at Wakisha Resource Center on Wednesday 29 May.

Nkima fought from a goal down following Ngonge getting reduced to 10 men with star player Ronald Ssekigganda setoff by the referee, he has been working for from the last group stage game.

The red card came with a huge cost to Ngonge clan denying them to defend the trophy by losing 4-5 on penalty shootouts having played in a 1 all draw during normal play.

Ngonge scored early in the first half through Sharif Kimbowa since Wednesday was a day of comebacks Robert Ssentongo grabbed an equaliser midway through second half.

It meant that Nkima managed to book a date against the hard-nock to break Mpindi which also completed a comeback over Ngeye as they reach Semifinal.

Ngeye scored through a wake-up call ranged my Patrick Kakande by taking on all over Mpindi defence to set up Edward Kawooya who busted it at Ronald Bwabye’s near post.

Ngeye stay in lead from the 11th minute to half time and then few minutes into second half before Ronald Mawanda’s equaliser.

It was a game which ended in drama giving loughter to the games attendance at Wankulukuku.

It all started with Mpindi Goalie Ronald Bwabye denying to be substituted and later doing nothing to save penalties as he was getting to the wrong way until a saviour came from Ngeye to force the effort over the bar to settle the game at 7-6.

Also in Ngeye Goal Medie Kibirige also didn’t try in anyway to stop Mpindi penalties.

Earlier at Wankulukuku Ngabi Nsamba eliminated Mamba Kakokoboza on penalties 4-2 advantaging on last minute equaliser as Bashir Mutebi conceding in always his ways to cancel Hakim Mutebi’s goal.

Also in another opening Quarterfinal Omutima Omusagi stopped Mbogo in a 1-0 normal time win at Wakisha when Mbogo failed to duplicate their group stage performance

Therefore Ngabi Nsamba will face Omutima Omusagi playing after Nkima facing Mpindi with both matches taking action at Wankulukuku timed at 2:00 and 400pm.
