This year’s Uganda International Para Badminton Championship is boosted by another sponsors. After Plascon paints which unveiled it’s sponsorship on Friday June 28 at its headquarters alongside Port bell road.
This Saturday June 29th morning Bank of Baroda came in board with Ugx 5 millions to boost the tournament which is slated start from 1st to July 7th, 2024 at Mtn arena, Lugogo.
At the press conference held at Lugogo, C.E.O Simon Mugabi on behalf of Uganda Badminton Association gave special thanks to Bank of Baroda for the continuing support towards the development of Badminton in the country.
According to Mugabi, Brazil have already arrived and Peru on their way to Uganda and the last country to arrive will be Azerbaijan on Sunday night. This year’s edition will also expected attract participants from countries like Italy, Egypt, Zambia, Ivory Coast and Nigeria among others.
Primhtve Singh, the executive director Bank of Baroda also attended the press on behalf.
This tournament will be a build up for the coming Paralympics which will be held in September.
