Seven winners were produced from the last draw of the Dubai Desert Challenge trip which was held on Monday, July 22, 2024 at City Oil Namirembe road.
The draws categorised into Taxi and drive saw Hassan Birimuye, Wilber Ashasha and Ivan Twongyeirwe winning major draw which takes to Abu Dhabi for Dubai Desert.
The three Joined other winners from previous 5 draw which has been taking place in a space of 1 year.
The winners are expected to travel in September 2024 with City Oil via its brand adnoc lubricant catering for the entire traveling bills for over 4 days of the trip.
The sixth draw which was the last was witnessed by former FMU president Hon. Dusman Okee as the chief guest.
After the draws, winners received the congratulatory message from City Oil Marketing manager Mr. Herbert Bashasha,
“It is our final draw for City Oil Dubai Desert Challenge and was a simple, you just have to drive-in and service your car and then get into the draws, we had two categories, the drive-in and taxi customers, we have run this promo for a year and the winners will go to Dubai for a four-day trip on City Oil’s bill”
Winner, Wilber Asasha failed to control his excitement and appeared jubilating in front of journalist,
“I thank God for this opportunity, I tried to participate but not expecting to win, I am so happy and i am expect a lot in Dubai because i have never been there before. I thank City Oil for this offer besides this their service is the best in the country, it is my second year servicing here.” Said winner, Ashasha who drives car registration number CGO1981 AC07.
Besides the three who won the trip, there were other 4 winners where two winning free wheel Balancing and alignment, these are Paul Mwanje of UAQ476S who serviced at Nakawa branch and a Ssekamatte who drives a taxi number UBQ974R who did his service at Bombo road branch.
The other two winners were Diana of (UBE 046E) who her service at Nakawa branch and Sunday Baberawo of taxi number UBA663S, did his service at Bombo road, each won fuel of 100,000/-
