In a stunning turn of events, on Monday August 26, Mawokota FC was awarded 3 points and 3 goals after a successful petition against Ssese FC.
The decision comes after Ssese FC’s initial 1-0 win over Mawokota FC at Lutoboka last Saturday was overturned by the Organizing Committee (MCOC).
The Committee found that Ssese FC had fielded 2 players without licenses which make them ineligible players, a clear violation of competition rules. As a result, Mawokota FC has been awarded the 3 points and 3 goals, this a significant boost to Mawokata’s 2024 Masaza Cup campaign.
The decision serves as a reminder of the importance of adhering to competition rules and regulations.”
The decision lifted the three time champions to 12 points becoming third in Masengere group 4 points behind Busujju who is second behind Kabula.
