We are going to double our efforts against Express FC says NEC FC coach Mbalangu.

NEC FC head Coach Hussein Mbalangu promises much troubles to Express FC on their trip to Hamz Stadium Nakivubo.

The Startimes Uganda Premier League game is scheduled to take action on Thursday 3 October 2024 starting at 7:00pm.

Both teams are getting into their fourth League outing of the 2024-2025 season with NEC FC on flying mode.

From the opening 3 games the Bugoloobi based side have managed maximum points with Enock Ssebagala fueling his team mates.

Back on that form Mbalangu sits in full confidence and talking ahead of the game he sent a respectful warning to the Red Eagles

“Alhamdulillah we have had a start which is in line with our targets, this season we want to perform better that we did last season and Last season we didn’t win our opening 3 games.

We going to Express FC to handle them as a big team and we need to add some effort.

Express FC is a great team with reach history so beating them we need to thrice our efforts”

In last game NEC FC defeated UPDF FC 1-0 thanks to Rashid Okocha’s goal.

Unlike NEC FC, Express FC experiencing hardships in getting things right under Baker Mbolea.

This season Express has managed 4 points which can be rated as a fine form.

The only win in their last ten games came on the opening day of this season against Mbale Heroes 2-1 thanks to Sam Ssenyonjo the only player to score for the team this season.

In the last game Express FC played in a 0-0 draw against Maroons FC at Hamz Stadium Nakivubo with technical team in stand to scout on the game.

In last game between the two sides NEC FC defeated Express FC 2-1 with Enock Ssebagala opening the score for NEC, Isaac Wagoina levelled but Musa Ssali score in his own net to hand NEC FC the victory.

Going into tomorrow’s game hosts will miss the services of striker Sam Ssenyonjo through injury but Richard Basangwa is expected to make his debut taking on from Charles Ssembalirwa who did less in the previous game.

Besides Ssenyonjo’s absence Express FC will have the remaining squad as NEC FC are set to continue missing Joseph Data, while Ibrahim Tembo and Gaddafi Wahab are set to miss the game.

Tembo got injured in last game and Wahab sustained injury on Wednesday training. With those injury the visitors are expected to welcome back midfielder Muzamir Mutyaba.
