FUFA AT 100: FIFA president assures continuous funding into Ugandan football future

Federation of Uganda football associations held a successful 100th Assembly, the football body received congrats on that milestone from different dignitaries across the world in which the FIFA president Gian Infantino was among.

In Infantino’s recorded message presented at the FUFA 100th Assembly held at Maya Nature Resort in Wakiso, Buganda Region on Friday 4 October 2024.

Infantino stated “it is at hight note to congratulate Uganda reach 100 years of existence in association football, it is not just 100 years but also very impressive, as FIFA we are very pleased with FUFA, we consider them highly in our development programs and we very sure it is important to continue funding into Ugandan football mostly in kids football”

We will continue funding in the future of Ugandan football as a priority”

FIFA one of top funders on FUFA incomes list with over 4 billions sits behind Ugandan Government, Sponsorships and ticketing where FIFA also hands benefits to FUFA.

besides Infantino’s message FIFA also had representatives at the event,

Solomon Mudega, the FIFA development programs Africa, David Ndayisenga the manager of FIFA Regional Development office who also represented CECAFA.

The event was chaired by FUFA President Engineer Moses Magogo Hashim and in his remarks he stated

“We are proud that FUFA marks 100 years. It is a great milestone that each one of us must be happy about. This is just the beginning of celebrations and we will carry on with a series of events for the next one year,” he said
