Lwakataka denies allegations of having a stake in the return of Ismael Otega as the event is launched.

Former Pearl of Africa Uganda rally champion, Ponsiano Lwakataka revealed that he has no any share in the forthcoming event organised to fundraise funds for rally driver, Ismail Otega.

Lwakataka, who won the 2011 Pearl of Africa rally denied all allegations that he has some shares on the return of Ismail Ortega event which is scheduled for Sunday 27,October at Festino city Mukono.

“For sure, i have no any share in this event but am here to give a hand to help my friend, Otega to come back to rally because we really miss him”, Lwakataka states.

Joshua Mayanja, the deputy vice president, FMU said that it good news to hear this because even myself, i want to come back but age is on my side so let’s all come and support our own.

Haji Hamid Gombe, the vice president, FMU supported the event by clearing the entrance of 10 FMU officials by giving out 100,000 shilling.

Haji Hamid Gombe, went on to give out FMU president, Hon. Jimmy Akena apology of not attending the event because he was in the Parliament for National issues.

The launch was held at Ponsiano Lwakataka place, Viga sports lounge ,Kyebando.

The sponsors of this event, include SMP tours and travel, SMK tyres, Rock boom , Krystal mineral water. Shemi Ssekatuka known as uncle Shemi from World wide movers Uganda thanked the organise for this event and promised to support the event.

The event will include both motor sport and motor bikes.

When addressing the press at Viga sports lounge, Ismail Otega thanked Uncle Shemi , Ponsiano Lwakataka and all other organisers for organising this event which will enable me to come back to my sport.
