Parliament to resume sittings today with the famous controversial coffee amendment bill on agenda

Parliament is set to resume sittings this Wednesday 06th/11/2024 with the famous controversial coffee
amendment bill on agenda and among other bills to be debated.

For the past weeks the public has been offset with the coffee bill after it’s first reading in Parliament and
it’s set for more debate during the coming second and third reading of the bill.

The debate also comes at the time when NRM parliamentary caucus MPs have just returned from
meeting President Museveni in Kisozi who vowed not to be intimidated with the rationalisation of
government agencies.

Now on Wednesday Parliament will among other bills delibelate on the rationalisation of the coffee bill,
Uganda Roads Authority, The public Enterprises Reforms and Divestiture, Tire four Microfinance
Institutions and others.

Similarly Parliament will also debate on the Administration of the Parliament Amendment bill for the
second and third time as moved by Mityana south MP Richard Lumu.
