It’s all set for Uganda Athletes to kick start medal battles in 2019 IAAF championship.

Today is the D Day for the World Championships in Athletics Doha 2019.

This is expected to attract a number of Athletes across the world except Russia who were yesterday been imposed to a ban from IAAF for failing to WADA rules.
As the championship kicks off Uganda will be represented by six ambassadors on day one that is today in four different competitions as follows bellow:

  • Halima Nakaayi 800m Round 1
  • Winnie Nanyondo 800m Round 1.
  • Chemutai Peruth 3000M SC Round 1
  • Kissa Stephen 5000m Round 1
  • Chelimo Oscar 5000m Round 1
  • Toroitich Linet – Marathon Finals

Team Uganda was flagged off on Tuesday by NCS official Andrew Sorowen who urged the to represent their country sole heartedly.
