As a corporate Social Responsibility, Haji Abubaker Kawalya, the Lubaga North MP aspirant has dedicated a better half of the Monday December 2nd 2019 to the vulnerable children of Sanyu Babies’ Home – Uganda found in my area of jurisdiction, during which I have donated some goods and consumables to help the administration in the smooth running of the facility. Furthermore, I have pledged 300,000/= every month as contribution towards their electricity bill.

Sanyu Babies Home is the oldest Babies home in Uganda having been established in 1927 by the late Milness Winfred Walkers who was working as a nurse in Namirembe Hospital; the present day Mengo Hospital. The facility accommodates 50 children aged between 1 day and 4 years that are found abandoned on garbage heaps, pit latrines, ditches, taxi parks or by the road side.

“I so much appreciate Madam Barbara Nankya Mutagubya and her team for the dedicated and passionate care that they give to these children,”Kawalya said.

“I implore fellow statesmen and women to find time and visit such places. Additionally, you can sponsor a child or even adopt one as your own child. Your generosity can surely change the life of these children,”Kawalya cited.
