Parliament has this afternoon been shocked by the news from the commissioner of parliament also Bukooli county central MP Solomon Silwany after informing them that the office of the Attorney General has written to the President advising him of the challenges in the recently passed Anti Homo Sexuality Bill.
This attracted a heated debate in parliament causing fear that the bill might not be assented on by the President especially even now the government chief whip Hamson Obua has summoned the NRM parliamentary caucus this Thursday at the state house at 2 :00pm.
Silwany alleges that the advice from the office of the Attorney General to President Museveni is against the majority wish of the MPs who voted in favor and passed the bill.
However, in reply, the A.G. Kilyowa Kiwanuka confirmed advising the President and appealed to the house to be patient and not to debate in anticipation of the decision the president might take.
