2011 champions Buwekula overcame the two time Masaza Cup winners and favourites Buddu with a 1-0 win at St.Peter’s Technical playground in Mubende on Sunday, 9th July.
Blanchar Mulamba well converted penalty in first half was enough to send Buwekula to maximum points and are now on six points after two games in Masengere group.
In another epic contest, three time winners Mawokota prevailed past record winners Gomba at Buwama Grounds on Sunday.
Mawokota also needed a Peter Calvin Emayo penalty in the first half to overcome Felix Ssekabuza’s coached side.
The Richard Malinga coached side are now on six points after two games in Muganzirwa Group.
Still on Sunday, Bugerere and Bulemeezi played to a one-draw at Ntenjeru Ssaza playground while Kkooki and Kyaggwe played to a goalless stalemate.
On Saturday, Ssingo suffered a 2-1 defeat to Buvuma at Magyo Ssaza playground.
Pius Kamoga and Stuart Keezaala scored Buvuma’s goals while Yakiin Muwonge scored a consolation for two time competition winners Ssingo.
Buluuli also edged Kyadondo 1-0 in a Masengere Group contest at St.Lawrence Playground ground thanks to a Justus Wasswa sole strike.
Butambala shared spoils in a 1-1 draw with Busujju at Nkookooma playgrounds while Kabula held defending champions Busiro to a 1-1 stalemate at Bakijjulula playground.
