Hon Allan Ssewanyana the shadow minister of sports alongside with his Lawyer Alan Mulindwa addressing journalists at his offices in makindye west about the issue of mr.magogo’s step aside as fufa president, has argued the government through Education ministry and CID to react on his petition dated 30th May 2017.
Allan Ssewanyana who is the chairman of a Big League Club (Katwe utd FC), through his lawyer Allan Mulindwa petition Mr. Magogo (Fufa president ) on how he handled the Fifa 2014 world cup tickets allocated for Ugandans as they were sold to one American firm which violates the ethical code.
Hon. Allan stated that:
- I am wondering why Fifa has moved firster than Uganda gvnt where he first petitioned magogo so he is requesting Uganda gvnt also to move firster like Fifa has done.
2. I am requesting Ugandans to join him to fight corruption in fufa and advising former Fufa president magogo not to waste fifa’s time just let him prove that he is guilty and be punished for selling ugandans tickets to American .
3. I have no personal issues with former fufa president magogo just I am looking for transparency in federation of Uganda football.
4. I am requesting to know from director of CID madam Grace Akullo what happened with his petition he took in CID .
5. I am also expecting the government through the ministry of Education and Sports to have taken action or updating before even Fifa because they give them a lot of money which should entrusted by transparent people.
Mr. Magogo on Saturday 28th September 2019 while addressing the Fufa AGM, announced a two month stepping aside of Fufa presidency to enable the Fifa pending investigation on the allaged unlawful 2014 world cup tickets sale to come to an end, thus leaving his first vice-president Mr. Justus Mugisha taking his position.
