Archbishop Kaziimba has challenged the youth about the global landscape which is changing rapidly, and it requires individuals who are not only well-educated but also adaptable, innovative, compassionate and disciplined.

His Grace, Dr. Samuel Stephen Kaziimba Mugalu made this Communication during the 24th Graduation Ceremony of 986 students at Uganda Christian University, Main Campus Mukono and this include 5 PhD led by Rev Dr Waswa Asaph SSENOGA in Philosophy of Theology, Master of Divinity -Rev Rogers  Kityo the Diocesan Treasurer of Mukono Diocese, Rev Ronald Musoke who the Legal officer of Mukono Diocese and many Courses.

His Grace Kaziimba also urged them that UCU has equipped them with knowledge and skills to be leaders, problem solvers, and change-makers and it is time to apply these. He encouraged them to embrace their roles as potential job creators and innovators so that they must also strive to create job opportunities for others.

The Guest of Honour who is the Archbishop Emeritus Oluke Orombi reminded the graduates that Service is not about eating first but eating last. So allow others to eat first. In this country where people are very hungry perpetually.

“Please serve people first and you will have enough to eat later full of contentment. When you live to eat, you will always be hungry. That is why corruption is rampant, and live by example not by words only, and eat to live not live to eat.” He emphasized

In addition, The Rt. Rev. Prof. Alfred Olwa Bishop of the Diocese of Lango and Chairperson of the University Council, Uganda Christian University talked about the Character as a function of virtue, integrity, mores, moral and ethical quality in an individual. It is assumed that people learn character, especially from Culture and from Religion and this University aims to create a community bound together by our common Core Values: Christ-centeredness, Diligence, Integrity, Servanthood and Stewardship, which demonstrate character; each of there is a character quality.

While, the Assoc. Prof. Aaron Mushengyezi (PhD) who is the Vice Chancellor of Uganda Christian University cautioned them that the world of work is beset with challenges, but they send them out as leaders with a difference, change-agents, and as conduits that God will use to transform people and communities so UCU has prepared them to be an agent of positive change, so they do not be part of the problem in society.
