Batball open, is the programme organised to nurture young cricket talents all over the country. Batball Uganda limited in partnership with Uganda cricket association, have organised regional tours in Eastern, Northern and this time in Central region.
Entebbe cricket oval, will be used as a venue for this year’s central tour.
The tournament will run over the weekend of 18 and 19 March.
“It’s a good programme because national team players are selected from” , Martin Odenke, former UCA ceo, states.
Four teams will compete for this year’s central tour and are Naddibanga, Ensega, Akasumagizi and Kalooli and these names have been derived from those of the birds that are common to the region, so that people can identify with the teams.
Meanwhile, Cricket Cranes, will departure tomorrow to Qatar, for International friendlies games where they will play four games.
