BELOW 25 AND ABOVE 65 YEARS COACHES HAVE NO JOB IN MAWOKOTA AS THE TEAM PREPARES FOR NEW SEASON

As the Airtel masaza cup 2024 tournament near to the start, teams have started preparing themselves for this year’s edition . Our reporter Juma Ali had a chance to converse with Mawokota county team manager, Mr. Denis Bugaya about their preparation for this year’s championship.

JUMA : What are your preparations for this year’s tournament?

BUGAYA: We are on high gear just waiting for the tournament because our boss Kayiima selected the committee members in February where he made some changes which saw Mr. John Busulwa who was the treasury promoted to the vice chairman administration position.

JUMA: What special thing have you introduced this year?

BUGAYA: For the first time, Kayiima have selected camp manager Mr. Joseph Ssempijja who will report to the team manager.

JUMA: Is coach Malinga still there or sacked?

BUGAYA: This week, we are going to advertise job for the coach.

JUMA: What are some of the qualifications requirements required?

BUGAYA: Our coach Should not be below 25 years and not above 65 years, should have pedigree and experience in Masaza cup tournament.

JUMA: What’s your target this year?

BUGAYA: To win this year’s edition.

JUMA: What went wrong last year because the team was so good?

BUGAYA: Luck was not on our side but we managed to secure the third place where we beaten Buddu.

JUMA: Why did you decided to come out to as the team manager?

BUGAYA: To create jobs among our people because there are a lot of jobs there and helping Mawokota to win more trophies.

JUMA: What’s special on you and your fellow committee members?

BUGAYA: Transparency because last year we managed to make accountability for all we did and we managed to secure 13 million shilling.

JUMA:Is it true that you wanted to grab Steven Bogere from Buddu?

BUGAYA: I repeat that Mawokota needs a coach who will take us to the next stage.

JUMA: How many fans are you targeting this year?

BUGAYA: We are targeting atleast 10,000 fans for every home game and this will give us 100 million shilling per game.

JUMA: What’s going on with the construction of Ssaza stadium?

BUGAYA: We have the plans approval and we have managed to secure now 9 acres of land from the 2 we had before.
