Bishop Anthony Zziwa donates cows to fight poverty among Busunju people

The Bishop of Kiyinda Mityana Diocese The Rt. Rev Dr. Joseph Anthony Zziwa has donated cows towards Kiyinda Mityana Diocese Intergrated Cow Program, as away of joining the fight against poverty among people in Busunju Parish.

While handing over the cows to the beneficiaries, Bishop Zziwa asked them to take good care over the cows so that they can use them to fulfill the aims that he targeted siting helping them get out of poverty.

Representing the Katikkiro of Buganda, Minister of local government in Buganda Kingdom Owek Joseph Kawuki commended the Catholic church for coming up with ideas and programs that help people to fight against poverty, noting that such programs move in line with the Kingdom’s cause to fight against poverty among its people.

Owek. Kawuki also appealed to the people who have recieved these cows to take good care over them and as well use the cow dang from the cows as fertilizers in their gardens so that as they look after the cows they also yield from their gardens.

He added that farming and agriculture is so crucial towards the fight against poverty and called upon the youth to join such activities so that they can be able to earn.
