The federation motor sport administrator and the chairman Uganda Olympic Committee, Mr. William Blick while launching the National cross motor championship 2020 at Uganda Olympic committee offices, Lugogo, today Tuesday February 18th 2020 calls for maximum Corporation when it comes to the development of the motor sport in the country.

Blick who was the among the officials at the function held at Lugogo said “What happens in the motor sport is not good for Uganda, because the two parties want to separate which is not good for our game, the MAU and FMU should wok together.

We used a lot of energy to develop the game but at this moment when we separate that will not be good for the development of the sport because we shall lost about 300m from National council of sports and now we can also lose the status to organise FIM Africa and lose some sponsorship coming from Africa, yet we are now ranked in the 4th position in Africa, that means the sport is growing, thus I stand on my knees to call upon maximum corporation for the development of the sport”, Blick William noted.

The motor cycling department want to be separated from FMU to form their own federation, which the FMU do not agreed with.

However, we hope that their should be connection between the two parties because the new elected president promised to share a meeting on 25th to solve the problems so that they work together for the development of the sport. “We as the administration we consider unity and we are not in the war, we want all the stake holders to engaged and when sit down on 25th we shall solve this problem and we do things in the pipeline and we want to do things different”.
