The boxing champions league tournament continue to shine as it enters week 6. The tournament will return on Saturday,  15, July 2023 at Club Obligato where the main fight will see Ukasha Matovu taking on National Open welter weight Sunday Simon who defeated Adinan Yasin at the finals of the National Open.

Both Ukasha and Sunday,  this will be their first ring engagement in this year’s season of the boxing Champions league.

Other fights on the day, in the Junior category will include; pin 46 kgs Thomas Kakooza will be taking Ali Nsubuga,  light fly 50kgs Muzafaru Luzige vs Ibrahim Kasibante,  fly weight 52kgs Jovan Katende vs Anison Muwanguzi,  bantam weight 54 Ukasha Mukisa vs Cyrus Atwine.

In youth category,  light weight 60 kgs Henry Kirumira vs Ashraf Iga ,  light welter Reagan Lubega vs Henry Kato,  light middle 71kgs Shahari Walugembe vs Isaac Kasasa,  Light weight 60kgs Christine Namuyomba vs Naava Getrude and there will be a special contest between Lawrence Tamale snd Alex Kanabi,  light fly 50kgd Swalla Halima vs Patience Alimu.

And in elite category,  in cruise weight 86kgs Arafat Kibirige of Lukanga b.c vs Juma Ayiro of KCCA,  heavy weight George Wejuli of Kadiba b.c vs James Baraka of Lukanga b.c ,  light welter 63 kgs Edward Kimera of kalunabbiri vs Innocent Amoko of Nansana b.c and main fight of the day will be Ukasha Matovu of Cobap b.c taking on Sande Simon of Nansana b.c.

It should be noted that the Uganda Boxing Champions league is the only tournament where national team boxers are selected from.

A boxing fan needs20, 000 for ordinary ticket,  50, 000 for vip ticket and 100, 000 for VVIP ticket.
