boxing is one of the burdened sports in the country, said MP for Parliament for Kasese Winifred Kizza

Honorable Member of Parliament for Kasese, Winifred Kizza said that boxing is one of the sport which are burdened because little money are invested in the boxing yet are the Risker sport to their lives but are not catered for.

“Boxing are some of the sport which are burdened, because many people believes that boxing is for bayaye and thieves which is not truth. Boxing is a disciplined sport and many boxers represented our country, but unfortunately little money is invested in the sport, and boxers put their lives in the sport because it is risk sport”, Winifred kizza asserted this while visiting the boxing fraternity during the on going competitive actions for Olympics 2020 in Tokyo qualifiers at Lugogo.

“The boxers do their boxing outside in the sunlight yet they should do it in the Arena and do not have GYM but my humble request to goes to the people who are responsible for sports to come out and support boxing as i will make sure that in this coming national budget we put emphasis on sports especially boxing,”Hon. Kizza added.

Boxing is one the sport which represent Uganda well but little money are still invested in .

However the ever promising boxer Moses Kabuka of Police also promised his supporters to die with the people and this time had to be on the national bombers.

“Am trained hard this time and am sure that this time I will be included on the national team because my coach given all the tactics.

My dream is to represent Uganda and to bring medal from Olympics”, Kabuka Moses of police boxing club asserted.

Kabuka is eliminated on the finals every year and has not represented Uganda in any competition and this time vowed to die with the boxers to included on the national bombers.

It should be noted that only 13 boxers, 8 men and 5 women to represent Uganda in the Olympics in Tokyo, Japan 2020, out of 200 boxers are participated in the qualifiers. The qualifiers are to run for one week which started on this Monday and 25 boxers should be taken to the residential camp for more sharpness to remove the 13 cream boxers to go in Tokyo. Some of the day two results. Okello Ronald beat Okiror Solomon, Seruwoza Muzairu beat Male Saulo,Sematire Hamza beat Sebuliba Hamza in the middle weight. Mukiibi Edris beat Kimera John, Odonkonyero Emma beat Mbayo William, Male Joshua beat Mugabi Joshua in the light heavyweight.

Amiga Gaddafi beat Kasanze Peter, Kaongole John beat Kasumba M, Kabuka Moses beat Kyanda Martin and Mubiru Dissan beat Geko Baala in Fly weight.
