Masaza Cup: Buddu FC fined 5 millions, docked points and manager suspended.

Masaza Cup organising committee have on Tuesday 9th July 2019 at Bulange Mmengo announced the verdict of a violent case occurred in a game between Mawokota and Buddo from butikiro group on Sunday 30th June 2019 at Mpigi Police grounds the home of Mawokota. The violence from Buddu fans over shadowed game which forced police and other security organs to fire tire gas and bullets in order to calm the situation which resulted into the shot death of one Robert Kabirwe a Buddu supporter.

According to Sulaiman Ssejjengo the chairman of the committe said that all investigations made by the committee shows that Buddu fc fans started the chaos in contesting of the officiation, there fore Buddu management failed to control their people.

The verdict is as follows:

According to masaza cup rules and regulations rule 13 iv (a) any team involved in hooliganism before and after the match is punishable, therefore Buddu is fined five (50) million shs for being found guilty of un ethical behaviors and miss conduct.

The money must be paid before their next game.

Buddu is again lose 2 points and 2 goals according to FUFA competitions rule 30 8 (c) and will play that second leg fixture at a neutral ground and in closed doors that will be Mandela National stadium Namboole on 27th July 2019.

Buddu shall also pay 400,000/= for the vehicle wind screen destroyed, Mr. Byarugaba David team manager will serve a two match ban for failing to control his technical bench which insighted fans.

Mawokota was also judged to have been negligent in security management and safety of the game as host team so the team’s security coordinator Mr. Kyingi James has been dismissed from that post by the committee.

Mawokota won the game 1-0.

The committee is expected to listen to the same kind of a case occurred on Sunday 7th July in game between Sembabule in game betweet Mawogola and Bulemeezi which ended in a goalless draw where more than four people were seriously injury.
