In abid to improve and mantain the health of people in Buganda and Uganda at large, the King of Buganda His Majesty Ronald Muwenda Mutebi the II started a hospital construction in busimbi subcounty in Ssingo.
Today 10/08/2023, the minister for local government in buganda Kingdom Owek Joseph Kawuki, on behalf of the Kingdom has toured the hospital to see the progress of the construction and check on what is needed.
On arrival, the permanent secretary in the office of the Katikkiro Josephine Nantege handed over the construction report, which shows the completion of the first phase, for preparations of the second phase to start.
Owek Kawuki has commended the Kabaka for the efforts he has made to improve on the well being of the people in Buganda Kingdom and the country at large through health and other developmental projects.
He also commended the contractors for the hospital for the speed and accuracy they have exhibited during the construction of this hospital, noting that they are now going to the roofing phase.
He has as well extended gratitude towards the permanent secretary in the office of the Katikkiro Josephine Nantege for supervising the construction saying, her efforts are fruitful.
Owek Kawuki has appealed to the people of Ssingo and the neighborhood to work together to see that the construction is done successfully since they are the immediate beneficiaries.
However, he has challenged people in Ssingo to try as much as they can to protect themselves against AIDS, since according to statistics, the rate of the spread of the virus in single is going high.
On this note therefore, he cautioned men in Ssingo to join the move to avoid the spread of AIDS in Ssingo and the country at large, since they lead the spread of the virus. He reminded them about the Kabaka’s call to men, to fight against the virus.
It should be remembered that the prime minister of Buganda Owek Charles Peter Mayiga launched the construction of this hospital 3months ago.
