Buganda kingdom has renewed its 3 years partnership with Plascon paints with an aim of painting the kingdom buildings such as Twekobe in Lubiri, Masengere and Bulange in Mengo, and Butikkiro.
The Kingdom Premier Owek Charles Peter Mayiga commended Plascon Paints for the support towards the kingdom and appreciated them for keeping up the standards that has kept them among the good serving companies in the country.
During his courtesy visit at Plascon Paints in Namanve, Owek Mayiga extended gratitude towards the company for availing job opportunities to the people as well as paying taxes which help the government to develop the country.
Additionally, Owek Mayiga showed the need to continue working together with companies such as Plascon since such partnerships help to support the kingdom in serving the kingdom people and developing both the kingdom and the country.
However the Katikkiro has expressed dissatisfaction over the roads towards the Plascon Company yet there are several companies found along these roads which highly pay taxes. He therefore urged government to come out and work on these roads, thereby enabling companies along these roads to derive value from the taxes they pay to the government.
The Plascon managing director Santosh Gumte commended the kingdom for the partnership which has taken over 8 years and pledged the company’s commitment from this year 2023 to 2025, working with Buganda kingdom.
Gumte noted that as a way of according the community descent services, the company has been involved in working on health centres, religious and educational institutions to see that people live a good life.
He added that the company’s focus works in line with the government’s commitment towards social development revealing that the company has been involved in 7 sports disciplines such as Rugby, cricket, netball, Masaza football tournament among others.
