BUGANDA YOUTH COMMENDS THE KATIKKIRO FOR HIS 10 YEARS IN SERVICE

The youth in Buganda Kingdom have appreciated the work of Buganda’s premier Charles Peter Mayiga during his 10 years in service.

In their meeting with the Katikkiro at Bulange Mengo, the youth under the Buganda youth council has commended the Katikkiro for being such a good example to the youth which has motivated them to work harder for their good.

They said that they have learnt alot from the Katikkiro siting strong commitment he has shown during his service that has enabled him make kingdom achievements through enduring all the challenges he has faced.

Speaking to the youth, the Katikkiro has gone through his service towards Buganda kingdom for the last 32 years serving in different responsibilities, and then talked about the 10 years serving the Katikkiro.

He added that for the period he has served as the Katikkiro, he has been patient, honest, hardworking saying, it might be one of the reasons the Kabaka spotted him and gave him office as the Katikkiro.

Owek Charles Peter Mayiga has encouraged the youth to endavour working hard and being honest while being given responsibilities which will make them outstanding servants.

However, he has extended his gratitude towards the youth for appreciating his work when he is still alive other than other people who appreciate the dead.

Owek Israel Kazibwe on behalf of the  Buganda minister for youth and sports Owek Henry Sekabembe Kiberu has commended the Katikkiro for moving together with the youth during his 10years in service which has greatly changed their lives.

It should be remembered that on 29/may/2013, the Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Muwenda Mutebi the second officially chose Owekitiibwa Charles Peter Mayiga as the Katikkiro of Buganda after Owekitiibwa John Baptist Walusimbi.

The youth have donated a chair, table and a cake to the Katikkiro.

 The meeting was attended by the Buganda youth representative  in Buganda cabinet Owek Dr. Rashid Lukwago.
