Kyambogo 2-1 Bugema (2-3 Agg)
Defending champions Kyambogo University are knocked out of the Pepsi University Football League after winning 2-1 today in the second leg of their quarter-final tie played in Mukono but losing 2-3 on aggregate to Bugema University.
Kambale Aldrine gave Bugema the lead in 10″ but Bukenya Uthman levelled for Kyambogo in 38″ before substitute Nsamba Paul gave them the lead in 78″.
What followed was a frantic final 12 minutes as Kyambogo pressed Bugema looking for an equalizer and eventual winner but Bugema held on to keep the scores at 2-1 and win the tie 2-3 on aggregate.
Bugema university have now joined St Lawrence University and Uganda Martyrs University in this year’s semi finals, waiting a winner between UCU and Busitama who will face off on Friday in the quarter second leg. UCU lead 5-0 on aggregate.
