BUL FC continued their impressive home run against the League big boys as they edged KCCA FC 1-0 at the FUFA Technical Center, Njeru on Saturday in their 2023/24 Uganda Premier League season opener.

From the first whistle, the Hatters faithful were treated to aggressive attacking football from their side, with Walter Ochora in particular terrorising the Kasasiro boys at the backline.

The Jinja based giant killers were highly unfortunate not to be ahead with 10 minutes on the clock as they were forging attacks.

The game settled for a goalless stalemate after a highly contested first half. Therefore waiting for the last period of the game to separate boys from men.

Left back, Nicholas Mwere opens BUL FC into the lead in the 77″ just two minutes after coach Kikomeko’s third substitution which saw Tezikya off for striker Ssekamatte in the 75″ which seemed to have pile more problems on the visitor defence.

Madondo who came in as a substitute replacing Kitata at the start of the second period, crossed in a fine ball for the goal scorer Mwere to register him self on the score sheet.

KCCA’s Osman Arafat had a chance to break the deadlock as he coordinated well with Mugume Arafat in the 71″ but Walter Ochora traced him well and cleared the away.

Walter Ochora was the standout performer for Bul fc and the entire game this afternoon and was as well picked the man of the match award despite being cautioned for handed in the early stages of the second half of the game.
