George Kasonko and Ronald Otti scored two quick fire goals in the first half as BUL beat Villa 2-1 at Wankulukuku to maintain their perfect start to the season.

Umar Lutalo scored the hosts’ consolation in the second half they did dominate but without a breakthrough.

Kasonko opened the scores in the 34th minute when he got at the end of a lay off by Otti off a corner from Jerome Kirya.

Three minutes later, Villa again failed to deal with a corner and Otti headed home.

Villa should have earlier scored but Patrick Kakande missed from close range when Joel Mutakubwa failed to deal with Peter Onzima thunderbolt after being played through by Lutalo.

Dusan Stojanovic made double change at the break with Bogere and Misi Diego coming off for Charles Lwanga and Ronald Ssekiganda and Villa started to dominate.

Their pressure paid off in the 63rd minute when after good inter-play, Lutalo slotted from a tight angle to give the Jogoos hope of picking at least a point.

However, despite endless attacks on BUL goal, Mutakubwa and his defenders contained everything thrown at them to earn all points.

BUL now moves to 15 points, three adrift of second placed Kitara who play Wakiso Giants on Wednesday while Villa drop to 9th with 5 points.

Villa’s next game is against rivals Express on November 1st while BUL will be at home to URA a day earlier.
