Bulemeezi County wins other Buganda counties in performance

Bulemeezi county has emerged the best among the 18 Buganda counties in the commitment towards serving the kingdom and fulfilling the kingdom expectations towards their work with 75% from the 2022/2023 competitions.

Buddu emerged the second with 71%, Mawokota third with 67.3%, Kyadondo fourth with 65.6%, Bugerere fifth with 59%, Buweekula sixth with 58.69%, Kooki seventh with 55.2%, Busiro eight with 53. 29%, Butambala ninth with 51.20%, Buluuli tenth with 46.81%, among others respectively, as listed in the table below.

Among the sub counties, the best performing sub county has been mituba 4 kawuga from Kyaggwe County, followed by mumyuuka Kabasanda from Butambala, mumyuka kayunga from Bugerere County, mumyuuka kamengo from mawokota, and mutuba gumu Nakisunga respectively.

While announcing the performances at bulange mengo, the Buganda Prime Minister Owek Charles Peter Mayiga commended the committee which spear headed the nominations being led by Godfrey Male Busuulwa and his Deputy Ssali Damascus.

Minister for local government in Buganda kingdom Owek Joseph Kawuki noted that the process of the nominations was based on transparency, therefore all results have been proved.

The Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Muwenda Mutebi the II stated that the best county will join the kingdom local governments to organise the Buganda kingdom Anniversary which is celebrated every 8th of October, ahead of the Uganda’s independence.

The chairman for the nomination committee Godfrey Male Busuulwa emphasised that they are to try all means possible to work towards Buganda’s development through encouraging hard work among the people in the counties that make up Buganda kingdom.
