Renowned businessman Apollo Nyegamahe, commonly known as Aponye, has passed on in a car accident in Itojo, Ntungamo District on the Kabale – Mbarara Highway this evening.
The details of the accident are still scanty but eye witnesses said it was a head-on collision. Police was at the scene gathering details.
Popularly known by his business name, Aponye, Nyegamahe was one of the brains behind the organization of NRM rallies in Kabale district. He contributed financially to ensure that the Kabale municipality rally was a success.
The company Aponye deals in a range of products which include; white maize grain, beans, maize flour, sugar, salt cooking oil, tea leaves, sorghum, rice and soap.
