Busoga Kyabazinga His Majesty William Wilberforce Nadiope IV has urged the people in Busoga to put in more efforts to work towards environmental conservation through planting fruit trees on their land, at the schools, hospitals, counties and sub counties,
Speaking to the congregation at His 9th coronation in Namungalwe village, Kigulu county, Iganga, the Kyabazinga has encouraged His Subjects to grow more food for both subsistence and commercial use so that they can feed their families and as well sell off some of their food and be able to earn money for their other necessities, as this is one way to fight poverty among themselves.
He mentioned that since the number of the youth in Busoga is increasing day by day, they should use their youth energy in productive and developmental ventures such businesses, farming, education, using their talents among others, so that they can make Busoga shine through development.
His majesty the Kyabazinga has commended the people of Busoga for loving and respecting their culture which has helped them to uphold their values. He arged them to continue being united sothat they can develop and make their Kingdom shine. His Majesty emphasised that the kingdom is not selling any part of its land but only leasing to those who are ready to develop it and the leasing is only done by Him and through express powers of Antoney to the Kingdom prime minister.
The first Deputy prime minster Rebecca Alitwaala Kadaaga has emphasized to the people of Busoga and the country that the Busoga Inebantu is only one called Jovia Mutesi, dismissing allegations that some other woman came into the light.
The Buganda Kingdom minister for cabinet Owek Noah Kiyimba has pledged on behalf of Buganda Kingdom that the Kingdom is ready to keep on collaborating with Busoga kingdom in every development aspect.
