Butembe and Busiki Counties reach MTN Busoga Masaza cup 2023 final following the two semi finals matches played at Kyabazinga Bugembe stadium and Gaddafi arena on Friday .
In the game played at Bugembe stadium Abbas Mikel scored first to give Butembe county the lead in 16 minutes of the first half until the break of the first half but Kigulu county equalised in the second half to level the game.
Each team tried to look for the winning goal but the match ended 1-1 all drow.
In the penalty shootout Butembe scored 4 goals and kigulu scored only one goal by Kisubi Sulman after Kasach Ibra and Katuntu Arafat missed to convert their penalties
They played according to the instructions we gave them that why we have managed to win the game said Butembe coach Ikoba affan after the game .
“We tried to fight back after Conceding in the first half and we equalised but we failed to convert our penalties said Silage Bogere Kigulu coach after losing.
Elsewhere Busiki county Overcome Bugabula County 4-3 in the penalty shoot-out after drawing 0-0 in the game played at Gadaff arena in Jinja.
The final will be played on Saturday 30th December 2023 at Kakindu stadium and will be graced by the tournament patron the Kyabazinga of Busoga William Wilberforce Gabula Nadiope IV.
NB Defending champion Bukooli Namayingo where eliminated at the quarter final by Bugabula county.
