Busoga utd’s Charles Mulanda slapped with 10 matches ban, cash fine as Mbale Heroes FC, Chemisto to face FDP

The FUFA Disciplinary Panel (FDP) has on Monday October 30th sanctioned Mulanda Charles Sunday of Busoga United FC with a ten match plus a fine of 500,000/= for breach of FUFA Competitions rules and Article 13(1) and Article 14(3)(vi) of the FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary Code during the Uganda Premier League match against Gaddafi FC on 24th October 2023 at Gaddafi Arena-Jinja. Mulanda headbutted the referee.

In addition to the two-match automatic suspension for the send-off in the same game, the player shall miss a total of the next twelve (12) physically played games.

The fine must be paid immediately. He is prohibited from taking part in any football activities until the fine is paid in full and the ban is completed. 

Meanwhile, the FUFA Disciplinary Panel (FDP) has opened disciplinary proceedings against Mbale Heroes FC for alleged acts of violence and hooliganism perpetrated against match officials by their fans and its official Chemisto Badru after the Big League game against Young Elephants FC on 22nd October 2023 at Mbale Municipal stadium.

Attention is drawn to the following provisions; Articles 14(8), 14(11) and 39 (3) of the FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary Code and the FUFA Competition rules.

Mbale Heroes FC and its official Chemisto Badru must submit written responses by Tuesday 31st October 2023 5:00 pm to contend and or dispute their actions and state the reasons why they should not be sanctioned in accordance with the rules and regulations.
