Entebbe international Airport management has suspended study tours following the ongoing expansion work which has led to the cordoning off of some areas of the car parking.
This has as well been caused by the increasing number of the facility users making the remaining space not enough to accommodate students who are always brought for tour at the airport.
The move is aimed at enhancing service provision as the facilities are being upgraded for a better passenger experience.
The Civil Aviation Authority Manager of public affairs Vienne Mpungu Luggya noted that since the expansion work started, part of the airport is nolonger accessible to make it convenient for the team to take on the work.
He added that they receive between 10 to 15 schools on a daily basis and some schools bring over 100 students saying that the space is nolonger enough to accommodate them. He therefore appeals to the public to withstand with the ongoing situation as the management will update them on the next step before the end of this year.
They regret the inconveniences.
