The Confederation of African Football’s (CAF) Executive Committee (EXCO) has announced that the 46th CAF Ordinary General Assembly will take place in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, next month.
This decision was confirmed by the Ethiopian Football Federation (EFF) today. Initially, Kinshasa, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, was chosen as the host for the 46th Ordinary General Assembly, but due to undisclosed reasons, the DRC said it is unable to host the event.
Consequently, the CAF Executive Committee has granted Ethiopia’s request to host the General Assembly.
In light of the aforementioned circumstances, the Confederation of African Football’s (CAF) General Assembly has been rescheduled to take place in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on Tuesday, 22 October 2024 and will start at 10h00 local time (10h00 EAT).
The change in venue is expected to have no significant impact on the agenda or proceedings of the assembly. This development comes as a relief to the Ethiopian Football Federation, which had been working tirelessly to prepare for the event.
Ethiopia last hosted the CAF Ordinary General Assembly in 2017.
A new Media Accreditation application window will be open on Sunday, 22 September until 27 September 2024.
