Chelsea have completed the signing of Brazilian winger Angelo Gabriel from Santos.

The 18-year-old has put pen to paper on a long-term deal at Stamford Bridge, although the exact length of his contract has not been disclosed by the club.

The fee to take Angelo to West London is understood to be around €15m (£12.8m).

Angelo is now expected to join his new teammates on their pre-season tour of the United States, although he is likely to be sent out on loan for the 2023-24 campaign, with Strasbourg an option.

The attacker became the youngest player in Brazilian top-flight history when he made his debut at the age of just 15 years and 308 days in 2020.

Angelo has remained a regular fixture in the Santos first team since that debut, making 129 senior appearances for the club despite his age.

The Brazil Under-20 international’s first senior goal saw him become the youngest scorer in Copa Libertadores history when he netted away to Lorenzo in April 2021.

In total, he scored five goals and created 10 more for his teammates during his time at Santos.

Angelo could feature for his new club for the first time when they take on Wrexham in their pre-season opener in Florida on Wednesday night.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side are also due to take on Borussia Dortmund during their pre-season schedule, before beginning the Premier League campaign against Liverpool.

Angelo’s arrival continues a busy summer for Chelsea, who have also brought in Christopher Nkunku, Nicolas Jackson and Diego Moreira during the current window.https://49f52808a3ed90db9a61050043730af1.safeframe.googlesyndication.com/safeframe/1-0-40/html/container.html?n=0

Things have been even busier in the opposite direction, though, with Kai Havertz, Mason Mount, Kalidou Koulibaly, N’Golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic, Christian Pulisic, Edouard Mendy, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Cesar Azpilicueta among those to have departed.
