Christians contribute millions towards St. Peters church of Uganda  Nakibano construction

Over 15 million shillings has been collected by the Christians at St. Peters church of Uganda  Nakibano, as away of supporting the work of roofing the church and to complete it’s construction work.

While leading the service to collect the money to support the construction of this church in Ndwaddemutwe parish, in Bukoba Archdeaconry in mukono Diocese , the Bishop of Mukono Diocese the Rt Rev Ennos Kitto Kagodo urged Christians to know the reasons why God  called them so that they fulfill what the lord desires from them.

Bishop Kagodo urged Christians to respect and positively respond to the Lord’s call especially through having a giving hand so that they can support the lord’s work.

The Bishop of west Buganda Diocese the Rt Rev Henry Katumba Tamale has called upon Christians to respect their bodies, well knowing that their bodies act as the Lord’s temple. He urged people to look unto the lord whole heartedly to help them go through their challenges.

The priest at St. Peters church Wilson Mbaziira Ssalongo informed the Bishop about some some of the achievements they have attained so far, such as marking the boundaries of the church land and commended the lands office of Mukono Diocese for the efforts.

He noted that the church is already connected with electricity, the church has a 3 acres sugarcane project aimed at supporting the church activities, and they managed to open up a church account in housing finance bank to help save for devoloping the church.

Aspiring candidate for Nakifuma in parliament Jackson Ntwatwa challenged politicians not to wait for election period for them to offer support to those who need it, such as supporting church activities, and cautioned christians to stay away from such politicians.

This function was attended by the Diocesean Secretary Rev Can John Ssebudde, Maama Catherine Kitto, Maama Rev Can Julia Elizabeth Katumba,  SCP Moses Kafeero Kabugo,  Omutaka Kaddu Christopher Natumwe, head of Laity Bataamye Kyobe, Bishop Lameckah and wife,  Deputy head of Laity Sarah Kigongo, among others.

This church requires over 150 million shillings to fully be accomplished.
