The priest for Kira Parish in Namirembe Diocese Rev Festo Kalungi has challenged People who hide into the lord’s flock and pretend to have accepted to change in the Lord but later get back to their evil deeds which go against the word of God.
He mentioned this as he was preaching during Mukono Diocesean convention which took place in Bishop Sebaggala Synod hall in kira parish as many Christians have been delivered and others have been newly converted to the lord’s flock.
Rev. Kalungi expressed concern over Christians in the church who pretend to have changed their evil behaviours but instead continue going against their commitment through drinking alcohol, engaging in fornication, witchcraft, among others urging them to totally change their ways if they are to confirm their commitment towards the lord.
The Bishop of Mukono Diocese, the Rt. Rev Enos Kitto Kagodo commended all believers and non-believers who made it to the convention and encouraged them to strengthen their commitment in the lord and keep trusting in Him in whatever situation that they go through.
In the same way, the mission coordinator in Mukono diocese Rev Micah Lukwago Migavu noted that one of the reasons for the convention is to bring people in Christ together and pray as brothers and sisters, and revealed that this system is to be done thrice a year.
Christians who attended the convention commended the organisers for thinking about bringing them together as they have refreshed their spiritual being and appreciated the word that they have shared.
This convention has been attended by Archdeaconries, priests, evangelists, people from different religious beliefs, Christians from the 4 districts that make up the Diocese, among others.
