The Provost from St.Phillips and Andrew Cathedral Mukono The Very Revrand Can Geofrey Ssengendo has called upon Headteachers in church owned schools in Mukono Diocese to work together in love and harmony so that they fulfil their obligations for the good of the schools they lead.

He mentioned this when he was speaking to the Headteachers who had gathered for the Church of Uganda Headteachers Association (COUHEA) Christmas party which took place at Le-kesa Gardens Mukono in Lutikko Deanery.
Rev Can. Geofrey Sengendo urged Headteachers to use the chances that the Lord gave them to take control over those schools and fulfil the obligations that they have been given so that they serve to the church’s expectations.

He recommended them to emulate Peter in the bible who did not believe in revange, thereby encouraging them to desist from revange towards those who wrong them so that they live a good example to others.

The Bishop of Mukono Diocese, The Rt Rev.Enos Kitto Kagodo who was the Chief Guest at this function commended the headteachers of these respective schools for serving and fulfilling their responsibilities and arged them to continue serving.

The Diocesan Secretary Rev.Canon.John Ssebudde, advised these Headteachers to know that they are the firm foundation of Mukono Diocese for all the time and advised them to keep standing and helping out in everything that challenges the Diocese.

The Diocesan Education Secretary Rev. Canon Geoffrey Kagoye, as well commended the Headteachers for their team work which has helped in the uplifting of the Church Schools and progress of the Diocese.

The President of COUHEA in Secondary Schools and the Headteacher of Mukono High School, Fredrick Kawumi expressed appreciation towards the Bishop and Maama for dedicating their time to serve the Diocese and challenged the Headteachers to train up the coming generation who will come after them so that these schools will remain in existence and progressive even when they have left.
