City Tyres East Africa Badminton Challenge launched

Uganda Badminton Association and Mandela group of Companies have continued with their relationship as the 7th season of the City Tyres East Africa Badminton Challenge launched.

The launch held on Wednesday 18 September 2024 at City Tyres head offices in industrial area along 6 street.

The tournament launched is scheduled to take actions between 17th and 20th October with team and Individual competition.

Uganda Badminton Association chief executive officer Simon Mugabi explains

“This is one of the special events in Uganda Badminton, it is always brings a lot of participants at youth, Adults and Co-operates competing in team and Individual events”

Following the launch the Registration was switched on with an online registration being brought in the contention.

“With this launch the registration has immediately started with a provision of scanning our QR code to register.

For the event which occurs on annual basis players from Rwanda, Kenya, Tanzania, DR Congo, Burundi and South Sudan are expected to take part in it.

Uganda Badminton Association boss Annet Nakamya has praised Mandela group of Companies through City Tyres brand Linglong for keeping trust in the association over the past 7 years.

“Mandela group of Companies is back to renew our partnership for the 7th time, it is a very important Badminton event which gives values of participating to our players, the players who started young to participate in this event 7 today are the top players we have in the country and at Africa continent”

Mandela group of Companies chief marketeer Harbert Bashasha confirmed the through Linglong Tyres and Emirates national oil company City Tyres is catering for 100% of the event

“This is the 7th time to sponsor this Event, it gives opportunities to different age categories from kids to people who are over 50 participating in there respective brackets”

This has come a month before the action time for the tournament which is arranged to be hosted by Lugogo indoor stadium.
