Today, Thursday January 18th morning, Clarke International University have unveiled a scholarship partnership with the Uganda Sports Association (USPA) of 50% off the tuition .
The unveiling was held at the Clarke International University main campus at Kawagga close off Kalungi Road Muyenga, Bukasa.
The University director Dr. Ian Clarke, the former Makindye Division mayor who also the head of Clarke International University and professor Rose Clarke Nanyonga , vice-chancellor represented the University while USPA president, Al Sayyid Lubega represented the USPA fraternity.
The University have provide 100 scholarships for different students including the disabled with 10 only for journalists.
The University which started in 2008, over the years has established itself as a Premier institution offering a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs through its distinguished schools and institutes .The University has successfully graduated thousands of students, contributing significantly to the health care and business sectors by producing a high caliber workforce.
“We believe in empowering the next generation of leaders and professionals. The program is a testament to our commitment to providing affordable and quality education in business and information technology”, said Rose Clarke Nanyonga, vice-chancellor of Clarke International University.
Nanyonga, went on to say that eligible candidates are invited to apply for these scholarship and seize this once in a life time opportunity to receive the education from one of the leading institutions of high learning in Uganda.
Dr Ian Clarke, when addressing the press, he said that it’s time to give back to the community and this offer is real .
While USPA president, Al sayyid Lubega, said that this partnership is good and will help journalists to upgrade their academic levels. He father thanked Dr. Ian and the entire University frantanity for the opportunity given to the association members.
“Iam grateful to Dr. Ian and the Clarke university at large for considering USPA for this partnership. I am pretty sure that our members will benefit a lot in terms of education as far as upgrading academic levels is concerned.” Said USPA president Al Sayyid Lubega.
