The CSCA Taekwondo club wins 7th edition Korea Ambassador’s cup 2019 after hard defeat of the former champion Lango Taekwondo club.
The CSCA Taekwondo club attains 21 medals in both juniors and seniors, 11 gold, 4 silver and 6 bronze to defeat fifteen other clubs participated in this year’s edition, the tournament held at MTN Arena Lugogo from saturday 21st to Sunday 22nd September 2019.
Due to the political differences in the Uganda Taekwondo federation, between president Kato Akrim and Okomaketch, led the turn up to be low especially the Lira clubs did not participated.
Only 15 clubs took part in the tournament. Although, the national head coach Juanghun Lee of the Uganda Taekwondo asserted on the low turn up.
“Ever since I came to Uganda I have never see I saw today because some clubs in Lira didn’t participated thus leads leads to the low turn up and performance”. “But what is good, the players have talents, unfortunately they didn’t get a chance to participate in the international tournament to be charged, though we shall go step by step”.
The 15 clubs that took part in the 7th edition of Korea Ambassador’s cup include; Lango Taekwondo the former champion 2018, CSCA the champion 2019, Lee Taekwondo club Iganga, Tororo, Oceanic, Pan African, Tiger Woods, lights academy, Aghakan and others. Ali Lubega from Lee- Taekwondo club and Okwere John Robert from Tororo club attains the best player in Seniors, while Seanice Namukwaya from Aghakan and Hahumi Emmanuel from Lee Taekwondo for the juniors. Overall results. 1- CSCA with 11 gold, 4 silver, and 6 bronze. Lee Taekwondo with 7 gold, 8 sliver and 14 bronze, Lango with 4 gold, 2 sliver and 2 bronze, Tiger woods with a gold, 3 sliver and 1 bronze.
