Double win for CIPLA as the 4th woodball corporate circuit 2019 ended.

As it’s the norm in the Uganda Woodball Federation for corporate companies that take part in Woodball to host these corporate circuits. It was Sunday 4th August when Cipla hosted the 4th round of 2019 Woodball corporate circuit at their main headquarters in Luzira, 17 teams registered to take part in this round of the competition. These include; Kisubi Corporate Woodball club, Ndejje Corporate woodball club, URA Corporate Woodball club, Cipla Quality Chemical Industries Limited the hosts, UNEB corporate club, Buganda Land Board corporate club among others. 

CIPLA wins double in an event they hosted.
In team event men, Kisubi Woodball corporate club emerged victorious with 205 strokes, that team was a comprisition of Ssemata Raymond, Bukenya Godfrey, Masiga Jackson and Mutebi David.

Ndejje Woodball Club came second and URA woodball club emerged third with 211 and 227 strokes respectively.

Whereas in the Women’s category, Cipla Quality Chemicals Limited won throphy with 212 strokes, the team was composed of Turinawe Angel, Mirembe Immaculate, Nazziwa Merabu and Nakamatte. Ndejje Corporate Club come second with 225 strokes and UNEB finished the podium place with 230 strokes. 


Men Singles were won by Male Hassan of Ndejje Woodball Club who gathered 44 strokes, Kisubi Corporate Woodball Club  dual of Ssemata Raymond who got 45 strokes and Bukenya Godfrey with 51 strokes were second and third respectively.

Whereas in women were Turinawe Angel of Cipla Quality Chemicals collected 50 strokes, Nansereko Milly of Buganda Land Board in second position got 51 strokes as well as Lunkuse Jean Agnes of Uganda Electricity Transmission Company became third with 51 strokes. 


In doubles men, Ssematta Raymond and Mutebi David of Kisubi Corporates woodball club won with 43 strokes, as Namasese David and Kaddu Nuhu Buganda Land Board finished second with 50 strokes . 


In doubles women, they almost took the top accolades as Turinawe Angel and Nakamatte Winnie took gold with 52 strokes and Kataike Diana and Mirembe Immaculate who walked away with 53 strokes completed the round 4 in the second position. 
In mixed doubles, Nkomeje Joshua and Shekka Harriet of Kisubi Corporate club won gold with 56 strokes, whereas a mixed dual of Barigye Innocent and Matovu Rose of Ndejje Corporates became second with 57 strokes. 
It should be noted that the next corporate Woodball circuit will take place on 10th October at Muni University in Arua.

Woodball President Mr. Paul Mark Kayongo congratulated the winners of the day and urged them not relax because the competition still with two round go.

” I appeal to the you the woodball people to network using our because that is main cause in to social network,” Kayongo said.

“And please participate in every competition as this game has conneted many of our colleagues, it made people travel around the world,”he added.
