Express fc vs SC Villa @ 4:00 PM.

This is going to be another Kampala’s big UPL game when Express FC hosts SC Villa at Muteesa II memorial stadium Wankulukuku.

It is a derby not for the faint hearted as most of them have ended with tear gas and stone.

This one comes at a time when the two UPL giants have registered some impressive results with SC Villa gaining confidence after being awarded three board room points following Proline’s failure to honour their fixture.

Express earned three precious points in their 3-2 closely contested game against Mbarara city thanks to a late Daniel Shabena strike that handed Ssemwogerere a first win of the season and thus relieving him off some pressure.

Last season, SC Villa were unbeated in this derby after collecting four points, a 2-0 victory at Nambole, followed by a 1-1 all draw at Wankulukuku when Villa were in desperate need for points to survive the relegation.

Express fc last defeat SC Villa two years ago in 2017, when record champions lost 1-0 away through Allan Kyambadde’s second half strike.

Express are currently 12th on the log with 4 points collected from four games but can temporarily move to the first three places should they win against SC Villa.

SC Villa and Wakiso Giants are tied on top of the table with seven points separated by goal difference.

Goalkeeper Mathias Muwanga and Ghanaian defender Emmanuel Baffoe both still on side lines due to injuries while the rest of the players are fit including Hamdan Nsubuga who was brought off with a knock during the last game.
