Faruk Kirunda serves as the Deputy Press Secretary to H.E. the President of Uganda. He is more than just a press secretary; Faruk is a strategic thinker, an organizer behind the scenes, and an effective manager. He possesses a deep understanding of local and international issues, stays updated, and is passionate about keeping Ugandans informed about events in State House and general matters that affect Ugandans.
Faruk is a dedicated member of the NRM (National Resistance Movement) and is committed to serving the Commander-in-Chief, H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
In addition to his role as Deputy Press Secretary, Faruk is also an accomplished writer of articles and opinions. He generously shares his knowledge and ideas. Aside from his duties as Deputy Press Secretary, Faruk is actively involved in monitoring the activities of RDCs (Resident District Commissioners) to ensure better service delivery and the realization of the NRM Manifesto. He has played a significant role in challenging falsehoods propagated by opposition groups.
