‎Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) presidential candidate Nathan Nandala Mafabi has vowed to put teachers’ pay equity at the centre of his education agenda.
He promised that under his government all teachers will receive equal pay and that the children of teachers will be offered free education from primary through to university.

‎Speaking at a campaign rally in Awei Sub-county, Alebtong District, Mafabi said the long-standing gap between science and arts teachers is unjust and must be closed immediately.

‎He told the crowd that teachers performing the same work should not be paid differently because of subject specialisation or posting.
