On Friday January 12th 2024, the leadership of the FDC Najjanankumbi faction, led by Party President Hon. Eng. Patrick Amuriat Oboi and Deputy President Hon. Margaret Wokuri Madanda, organised two vital Party-building and strengthening meetings, for both Soroti District and Soroti City.

In the morning session, the Party leadership convened with Soroti District leaders, spanning from the Sub-county to Constituency and District levels.

Hon. Tom Julius Ekudo, the Gweri County MP, organized the meeting at Ave Maria High School in Gweri Subcounty – Gweri Constituency. The primary objectives included restructuring Party structures in these areas, addressing conflict resolution, and initiating the early identification of candidates at all levels.

Despite her absence due to health concerns, Hon. Adeke Ann Ebaju, the Soroti District Woman MP, conveyed her apologies but expressed her spirit of participation in the meeting.

Later in the afternoon, the Party leadership engaged with Soroti City’s structure, led by Hon. Joan Alobo Acom, the Soroti City Woman MP, and Hon. Attan Moses Okia, the former Soroti East MP, at Eneku Village.

Addressing the gathering, Party President Hon. Eng. Patrick Oboi Amuriat commended the Soroti City Party leadership for their support. He urged Party leaders to remain steadfast, assuring them that his administration is dedicated to consolidating existing support and prioritizing nationwide Party strengthening efforts throughout the year.

The commitment is to build the Party from strength to strength, reaching every corner of the country for the propagation of the Party’s values and objectives.
