FDC’s Sarah Eperu laid to rest

FDC’s founding leader and veteran journalist Sarah Eperu was laid to rest at her ancestral home at Koloin, Mukura
Sub County – Kapir County in Ngora District on Saturday 14th/04/2024.

Sarah Eperu from Teso passed away last week at Life Link Hospital- Kyaliwajala in Kira – Wakiso District.

The FDC Party President Hon. Eng. Patrick Oboi Amuriat led the FDC family in mourning the late Sarah who until her death has been the FDC Party branch Chairperson of Kapir Constituency. Sarah served in various capacities in the Party ever-since its formation in 2004 that among others include; Former Party District branch Chairperson of Ngora, Deputy Party Spokesperson and Party National Spokesperson of the Women’s League.

President Amuriat led the Party in planting fruit trees as part of party’s campaign, “greening Uganda.”

The requiem mass was led by Rev. Fr. John Eriau the Parish Priest of Koloin Catholic Parish who in his homily emphasised the need for unity and forgiveness.

This mass was attended by Fdc members from both factions, Katonga faction being led by Dr. Kiiza Besigye and Najjanankumbi faction being led by Eng Patrick Amuliat Oboi, the party President.
