The Buganda Kingdom court that solves disputes in clans (Kkooti ya Kisekwa) has on Wednesday August 28th 2024 ruled in favour the petitioner in the dispute case of Ffumbe clan leader.

The impersonated Ffumbe clan head Omutaka Yusuf Mbirozankya was taken to that court by the Ssiga lya Magunda premier, James Walusimbi Kisasa and other clan Bazzukulu who petitioned his inheritance and succession as their clan head (Jjaja Wlusimbi) as unlawful and impersonation.

The court led by its chief judge, Joshua Kateregga, read the judgement in the presence both sides saying,

“The evidence gathered and presented to this honourable court realised that mr. Yusuf Mbirozankya is not in lineage of Kistu Ntege. And for any one who intend to accumulate, emulate or succeed to the Omutaka Walusimbi seat must be belong to that lineage, therefore Ffumbe clan shall get new head and this must be done with immediate effect

Yusuf Mbironzankya is given 30 day to appeal to His Majesty the Kabaka if he feels not contented with the ruling.

The leadership from the three main pillar (Masiga) of Ffumbe clan which the head is supposed come from, Magunda, Nagaya and Ssempala are now mandated to convene meetings and select the new clan head (Jjaja Walusmbi).

Note: Ffumbe clan has spent centuries with in impersonated leadership
