Finally coach Charles Kasumba commonly known as China gets opponent. China, a coach at Police boxing club will take on Mugalu Dungu Christopher aka Ochwo Dungu in a 8 round exhibition fight.
The fight which has been launched today, Wednesday July 17 at Police training ground, will be held on Sunday 26th January 2025 at Lugogo, according to the organizer.
China, a former professional boxer holds a record of 46 fights with 30 wins and 16 loses on his playing career while Mugalu, also a former professional boxer holds a record of just 7 fights with 2 wins and 5 loses, the two will tussle it out in a featherweight exhibition fight.
“I have been looking for an opponent to fight against but finally, have got him so i appeal to all Ugandans to come and support me in this cause, China states.
Whereas Mugalu said, “I was out of boxing ring for years now, training for only keeping my body fit but after launching this fight, i will start training hard and i hope ,on 26 January i will show my man China the best of me.”
The event will have many other exhibition fights apart from the main fight between China and Mugalu.
According to China, organising this exhibition fight is one of the many programs they have that will help them to collect some money which they need to overcome the challenges they are facing now.
