Finally FDC takes over IPOD leadership

The Democratic Party Leadership headed by President General Hon. Nobert Mao has on Wednesday handed over IPOD leadership to FDC leadership headed by President Patrick Oboi Amuriat.

The hand over function going on at Fairway Hotel, Kampala, FDC Secretary General Nathan Nandala Mafabi takes over as Chairman of the Council while President Patrick Oboi Amuriat will head the Summit.

On October 28, FDC spokesman Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda said they were ready to take over the position.

FDC revealed that the departure of President Museveni and the formation of a transitional government are top of their agenda once they take over the rotating presidency of the Inter-Party Dialogue (IPOD).

IPOD is a coalition of the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM), the Democratic Party (DP) Forum for Democratic Change (FDC), Uganda Peoples’ Congress (UPC) and the Justice Forum (JEEMA).
